Is the NWI Food Truck Fest related to any other food truck event in the area?
Yes. This Fall pop up fest is related to the NWI Food Truck Fest that was originally launched in June. This festival is unlike any other, providing a large variety of the most sought after food trucks in the Region. The NWI Food Truck Fest also feature out of state food trucks. The fest will provide our attendees with a variety of over 10 food trucks, live music and family friendly entertainment. Our family friendly entertainment is something that you will not find at any other festival. The NWI Food Truck Fest provides our attendees with an out side of the box and one-of-a-kind and unique experience that can not be duplicated.
What is the difference between the NWI Fall Pop Up Fest and The NWI Food Truck Fest Joins Crown Point Oktoberfest?
The NWI Fall Pop Up Fest is put on by the NWI Food Truck Fest brand. The NWI Food Truck Fest Joins Crown Point Oktoberfest is a partnership that was formed by the Crown Point Oktoberfest to bring the NWI Food Truck Fest food trucks to the event. The Oktoberfest is run by the event organizers of the Oktoberfest and not by the NWI Food Truck Fest team.
Can I bring Chairs?
Yes! Please grab your most comfortable chair and come spend the day with us. There will also be picnic tables and other seating throughout the venue.
Can I be a vendor?
Vendors wishing to participate in the “NWI Food Truck Festival” are encouraged to apply: Simply click on the “food trucks apply here” link or the “non-food vendor app” link in the menu below. Due to the high response the only nonfood vendors we are currently accepting are business and non-for-profit booths.
With a ticket purchase will you be able to leave and re-enter without having to pay again?
Yes, you will be able to re-enter any time between 11 AM and 9 PM with your ticket purchase. You will be stamped at the entrance when you leave if you wish to leave and return. However, parking is not guaranteed.
Do you need to purchase a ticket to get into the NWI Food Truck Fest?
General admission sales are now available by clicking on the Eventbrite link on our home page of our website and on our FB page and event page. General admission tickets will guarantee you entrance into the NWI Food Truck Fest. Due to the large anticipated crowd, it is recommended to pre purchase your general admission tickets. The general admission ticket will provide ticket purchasers with the following benefits, including general admission to the fest and a bottle of water. This ticket will also allow you the opportunity to pre purchase discounted wristbands/tickets to the family friendly entertainment and to the beer/wine/mimosa garden.
Save $2 off general admission at the gate with a donation of 3 canned/dry goods to the Portage Township Food Pantry as part of the NWI Food Truck Fest Food drive!
Do I need a ticket to get into the NWI Food Truck Fest even if don't want a free beverage Or Parking?
Yes you still will need a ticket for entrance into the event the day of. Tickets will be pre-sold for $3 at the gate and sold the day of the event.
Can I bring my own wine, beer, or liquor?
No. Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the grounds. Beer, wine, mimosa’s and sangria will be available for purchase onsite. All persons wishing to purchase alcoholic beverages must be 21+ years of age and present proper identification at the id verification booth.
What if it rains?
The festival will take place rain or shine with the exception of an extreme weather event.
What Food Trucks will be available?
The most sought after food trucks from The Region will be serving up their specialties at the NWI Food Truck Fest in addition to some out of state trucks. Stay updated n our FB page, event pages and our website for a full list coming soon.
Are pets allowed?
We love our pets as much as you love yours. However, pets will not be allowed on festival grounds with the exception of certified “therapy companions”.
Is there a charge for the "Family Friendly Entertainment"?
There is no charge with entrance to the NWI Food Truck Fest for face painting, character visits and balloons. There is a cost for the hot air balloon tethered rides, train rides and some crafts. Our live music lineup includes: Dick Diamond and the Dusters and The Crawpuppies. There will also be kid friendly food such as cotton candy, ice cream, and more. All food will be reasonably priced and available for purchase. Ticket purchase will be available for all games, and activities and Bouncy House Fun the day of the event.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No. Under 13 years of age do not require a ticket for admission.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Check our website (www.nwifoodtruckfest.com) and @ FB/NWIFoodTruckFest closer to the event date for parking instructions.
What can I bring into the event?
Folding chairs ***No Coolers, No Grills or Outside Food or Beverages will be allowed***
